Dear Paul, This is just a quick note to you to say… what a brilliant drummer you were even 30 years ago!  Back in the 70’s I lived in Ayr, Scotland.  At that time, I bought “Creatures of the Night” LP by Turning Point – loved it, played a cover version of ‘Better Days’ from it with a band – and then, gradually over the years, allowed it to become “dusted up” in the loft.  I’ve just found it and played it again – 30 years later – and your technique then was BRILLIANT! The album’s now digified on my mp3 player and I’m loving it again! Thanks a million! Alan

Just to say that your classic recording Live at Ronnie Scotts with Nina Simone is undoubtedly a total master class. I am not a drummer, but your restraint, your feel and timing  for a singer who was to me almost god-like is beyond compare.Thank you for your contribution to a set that even now ,after all these years still brings a lump to my throat,and makes the hairs on the back of my neck stick out. I completed a rough edit of the sound design this past Monday. I think it sounds really gorgeous.  I’m using your  beautiful composition (which I divided into  four movements…as you wrote it !!) and two really lovely piano selections that a wonderful friend of mine recorded a few years ago.
